Convicted sex offender charged with possession of child pornography

A convicted sex offender is now charged with possession of child pornography.
David Randles, 40, was arrested after the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit searched his home Tuesday, Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that child pornography had been uploaded at a residence in Upper Deerfield, McRae said.
Randles was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography and released on a summons.

UPDATE

Randles has two prior convictions of criminal sexual contact, according to his Megan’s Law registry page.
He was indicted of criminal sexual penetration in 1997, according to court records. He pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, and was sentenced to two years’ probation. He served 429 days in jail, records show.
The other is from 1995 out of Cape May County, in which he “befriends victims to gain trust,” according to the Megan’s Law registry entry.
Randles also received three years’ probation in 2007, when he failed to register an address change, court records show.
