SUPERIOR VISUALZ Subscribers: 8,717 Most viewed: The Illuminati’s Most Hated -1.4+ million
James Wilson El got started one YouTube to promote South Jersey’s music industry. As Jamez King, he has helped create music videos for local artists and helped tell other people’s stories. But recently, the leader of Superior Visualz is coming out from behind the camera. “I have done tons of projects, but most of the time I stayed anonymous until recently,” he says. He learned the true reach of YouTube when he posted “The Illuminati’s Most Hated” in December 2014. King put it out as to test marketing, “because I have a lot of information on that topic.” What he found was thousands of reactions and hundreds of new subscribers. The video now has nearly 1.5 million views. “The funny thing about it is I put it out as test marketing, because I have a lot of info on that topic,” he said. It wasn’t monetized. But a Part II will be. Originally from West Philadelphia, he moved to Pleasantville when he was young and then to Atlantic City, which he now calls home. Now, he and his girlfriend have partnered to open their own facility on South New York Avenue, which will act as an online radio station and multimedia studio, along with DJs, radio personalities and news specialists. “We plan to do massive promotion this summer as we finish up our new facility at 159 S. New York Ave,” he said. They already run Vibe609.com, an online radio station. And, Super Visualz — which includes LV Khalifa — has started its own series, “Dipped,” with a spin-off YouTube channel of the same name. “The main purpose of the series was to combat the opioid epidemic,” he said of the series that begins with the main character’s return home from the Atlantic County jail. “Ultimately, I want to educate the public on all the problems of addiction,” he said. “And then show real easily understandable solutions.”
