Somers Point man admits to prostituting minors

A Somers Point man admitted to promoting the prostitution of minors in and around Atlantic City.
Kal Mitchell, 31, pleaded guilty Wednesday, in the case that was the culmination of a four-month investigation.
Three children were recovered and placed under protection as part of the investigation.
Mitchell admitted that he and co-defendant, Saleem Reynolds, promoted the prostitution of these children on various dates between July and September 2015.
Reynolds previously pleaded guilty to second-degree conspiracy to promote prostitution of a minor and was sentenced to seven years in state prison.
Mitchell faces five years in prison when is sentenced July 27.

Two Atlantic County men were indicted Thursday for promoting prostitution. Seleem Reynolds and Mikal Mitchell were arrested after a four-month investigation led by Atlantic County Sheriff’s Officer Greg Engstler and Department of Human Services Officer Paul Vanaman, both of the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force.
