EHC man beaten on Halloween is back in hospital

  • News
An Egg Harbor City man brutally beaten on Halloween was headed back to the hospital Monday. Danny Peterson, 29, had his jaw broken in three places and needed 28 stitches to close up facial lacerations in the attack on Philadelphia Avenue. He was taken back to the hospital Friday after he still was unable to eat or drink and was spitting up blood, his cousin Jen Fernandez told BreakingAC. He is being sent to Cooper University Health Care, where he is expected to undergo surgery on his jaw. Police are still investigating the attack that is believed to have involved more than a dozen teenagers. It has outraged the public and led to several good leads in the case, police have said. Former Mayor Don Purdy has put up a $500 reward for anyone turning in the culprits. Fernandez also started a GoFundMe page for Peterson and their 15-year-old cousin, Ethan Drey, who was also injured in the attack. Peterson, who works several jobs, has no health insurance and is expected to be out of work for some time while he heals. Anyone wishing to help can CLICK HERE
