Three indicted in drug death of Ocean County woman

Three people have been indicted in the drug-induced death of an Ocean County woman in January.
Curtis Geathers, who already is jailed in the case, is accused of distributing wax folds containing heroin and fentanyl to Tiffany Coger and Michael Tiedemann some time between Jan. 5 and 9 of this year, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
Tiedemann then distributed some of the wax folds he bought from Geathers to the victim Jan. 9, according to the charges.
The next morning, the woman’s family found her unresponsive and called police.
She was pronounced dead Jan. 12. The death was later determined to be the result of ingesting the drug mixture, Billhimer said.
Warrants have been issued for Tidemann, 45, of Toms River, and Coger, 35, of Seaside Heights.
Geathers, 33, of Barnegat, is awaiting a detention hearing.

All three are named in a 24-count indictment that includes first-degree strict liability drug-induced death along with numerous drug charges.
“This was a collaborative effort on the part of my office and many of our local police departments,” Billhimer said. “We are all committed to sharing our intelligence to make sure we put these drug dealers on notice; Ocean County is not the place to pedal your illegal and dangerous narcotics.”
A fourth person, 36-year-old Darnell Williams of Jackson, was not tied to the death but arrested on cocaine distribution charges as the result of the investigation. He is in the Ocean County jail on other charges, Billhimer said.
