Atlantic City woman arrested in April shooting

  • News

An Atlantic City woman wanted in the shooting of another woman was arrested Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Rashanah Camper, 25, is accused of wounding a woman in Atlantic City.

Her alleged accomplice — a 16-year-old city boy — has been in the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center since April.

Camper's photo and charges were released by police in June, when they asked for the public's help in finding her.

Camper used her Facebook to proclaim her innocence — and ask for financial help.

"I'm innocent: cash app me for my lawyer," she wrote June 12.

The unnamed 25-year-old victim was found shot in the area of Tennessee and Atlantic avenues at about 12:10 a.m. April 25.

An investigation by the city’s Violent Crimes Unit led to Camper and the teen being charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and conspiracy.

It was not clear whether Camper was jailed yet. The mug shot above was from a 2017 arrest, when she was released following a detention hearing.

On Facebook, she indicated she was also not happy with that choice of photo, saying she had seven mug shots, "and that's the one y'all choose?"

She last publicly posted July 4, saying, "Queen Naa on the Move..."

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Violent Crimes Unit at 609-347-5788. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
