Atlantic County prosecutor defaulted on loan, civil suit claims

Atlantic County’s prosecutor has failed to pay back a personal loan, according to a civil lawsuit filed last month.
Damon Tyner owes nearly $8,600 on the $25,000 loan taken out with Discover Bank in 2013, according to a report first published by nj.com.
It appears the last payments made to the account were for $1,500 on Dec. 8, 2016, and a $1,200 payment Jan. 20, 2017, according to the payment history attached to the filing. He owes $8,596.90, according to the suit.
There appears to have been no response yet by Tyner, who also has been the subject of at least three complaints to the Attorney General’s Office, including one by two former and one current employee.
The Camden County attorneys representing Tyner on those allegations told BreakingAC they are not handling the Discover case.
Tyner’s spokeswoman, Donna Weaver, told nj.com that she could not guarantee Tyner would have a response to the lawsuit Friday.
