An Atlantic City man is charged with murder in the New Year's Day killing of another city man.
Jamie Sewell, 53, was arrested Friday in the killing of Lamir King, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced Monday.
King, 21, was found fatally shot after the car he was driving rolled in to the intersection at Lincoln and Ohio avenues at about 6:25 p.m. Jan. 1.
Sewell's charges are the result of a five-month investigation by Atlantic City police and members of the Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit, Tyner said.
Sewell is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. A detention hearing is set for Wednesday before Superior Court Judge Benjamin Podolnick.
