Brigantine Cove reopens after bomb threat

  • News

Brigantine reopened the Cove after law enforcement investigated a bomb threat.
Beach badge checkers found a note Saturday morning saying that an IED was buried in the sand, causing the beach to be evacuated, police said.
The Atlantic City Bomb Squad was on scene. “Somebody left a note with one of the permit checkers,” Mayor Andy Simpson told CBS3. “When they came into work there was a note there and it said there was a bomb on the beach.”
