Man gets seven years in Pleasantville prostitution case

  • News

A convicted sex offender who pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution was sentenced to seven years in prison this week.
Henry Lovest, 42, was previously sentenced to four years in prison for a second-degree sexual assault out of Cape May County.
Last year, he was arrested at the Homestead Lodge in Pleasantville, after a two-month investigation into prostitution, gun and drug activity.

A gun was also seized in the investigation. He was forcing women into prostitution using threats of serious bodily harm and drugs, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said. Lovest pleaded guilty to third-degree promoting prostitution and second-degree certain persons not to possess a firearm. He must serve at least five years before he is eligible for parole.
