Sunday morning fire displaces Atlantic City family

  • News

A large blaze displaced an Atlantic City family on Sunday morning.
The family had already fled the home before firefighters arrived to heavy flames rolling out of the windows at 515 Melrose Ave., Fire Chief Scott Evans said.
The fire began in a second-floor bedroom.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the home, although some of the side to the house at 513 was melted.
The Red Cross is being notified to help the family.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
