Atlantic City police recover five guns, arrest six men, seek one more

An Atlantic City man is wanted after police arrested six others and recovered guns and drugs during an investigation sparked by complaints of drugs along Atlantic Avenue.
Police recovered five guns — including three that had been reported stolen — along with 100 bags of heroin, 313 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia used for packaging drugs, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Diatre Jackson, 24, is wanted on three counts of a possession by a convicted felon and one count each of receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hollow-point ammunition.
Nehemiah Letson, 27, and Jeffrey Armstrong, 30, were both jailed in the investigation, Fair said.
Letson’s charges include two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of stolen property.Armstrong faces drug charges.Four others were released on summonses, including a Galloway Township man who was released from jail Wednesday on still-pending drug and gun charges.
Patrice Dowe, 25, got out of prison in November, and then was arrested during a car stop in January, when he allegedly had a gun and heroin.

He was arrested in Thursday’s investigation, and released on a summons charging him with two counts of drug possession.Also charged with drugs and released on summonses were David Woodward, 23, and Jeremiah Wilson, 25, both of Pleasantville, and Jordan Pena, 26, of Channelview, Texas.
